You are a coach to thousands of people without knowing it

You have a power that you underestimate. Yet it is harmless. You use it every day without knowing it. Maybe you even use it to harm or hurt the people you meet. Do you know what I mean?

Well, it’s your speech, the words that come out of your mouth.

When you speak, you often have two choices: to put people down or to lift them up. Why is that? Well, because your mouth is one of the instruments of your strength, your emotions and your intentions. At any moment, you can help or destroy, soothe or irritate, reassure or annoy…

How did we get here?

Well, you have simply been denied this power. You will ask me again why? I would say that you were made to believe that it was better to use your speech to entertain the gallery or to highlight your qualities. This is a pity because the sound of your voice can be used for even more profound things.

You can decide at any time to change

There are two ways of looking at this. Either you use your mouth like a military man uses a machine gun: you shoot indiscriminately. Or you are a sniper. Your bullets – or your words – have a precise aim, a target to hit. And there you can give encouragement or break the morale of the people you meet.

Words cost nothing, yet they are worth their weight in gold

Imagine that you have a treasure chest of treasures at your disposal that you can share without counting. It costs nothing to do so and yet you are making people rich. Yes, your word is worth millions as long as you put it at the service of others. This is a power that has been entrusted to everyone, but most people ignore or neglect it.

How can we reclaim this power?

The most essential dimension of this power is the way you talk to yourself. In your head, you are constantly feeding an internal dialogue. Well, the quality of this “talk” has a huge impact on your well-being, your self-esteem and the level of connection you have with others.

You will say to me: “but how can we put an end to negative thought spirals”?

You’ll have to clean up your act! Your head is your living room. If you don’t clean it up from time to time, you’ll accumulate dust and even little bugs will settle in. You need to take the lead. Cleaning up this space means clearing out. To be able to correct your mistakes on a blackboard, you first have to sponge it down and wait for it to dry a bit.

What exactly is sponging?

Well, I guess you can guess. It’s about clearing your head, and there are thousands of ways to do that. You can meditate, do sports, sleep, go for a walk in the forest. It’s up to you to find what suits you best.

Once the mind has been cleared, it is time to move on to the second step. You must speak to each other with kindness, respect, love and compassion. This is no more and no less than seeing what is obvious: your greatness. You have ignored it, yet it is there.

If you have trouble thinking positive thoughts about yourself, try this simple exercise:

Take a sheet of paper and list all the qualities you have. Read it three times a day, trying to add one more item each time. The more you read and dig for your qualities, the more you will unconsciously develop them.

Write these qualities deep into your mind

In order for these simple phrases to become deeply rooted beliefs in your mind, you will act upon them. For each quality listed, you need to find at least one action that you can perform repeatedly. Your brain will no longer be able to refute the evidence if you take action.

Once you have succeeded in these first two steps, you can now do the same for others.

In fact, you could start encouraging others as soon as you get the chance. But it is true that your encouragement will only gain strength when you have restored your true self-esteem. The words you say to others will only reflect what you say to yourself.

The way you treat others is only the thermometer of your esteem

As you can see, there is a link between the way you behave with people and the respect and love you have for yourself. If you are vigilant and attentive, you can know your energy level by the simple way you speak.

Your tongue is a magic wand

That’s it, you can now use your tongue like a magician. You can literally transform the atmosphere and give a boost to the people around you. So why not do it? It takes a little effort, yes, but laziness leads to a form of lethargy. Everything has a price, but it’s a small price to pay when you see how much you can change.
