Good And Bad In The Eyes Of Life

The instinct

As a human being we learn through the confrontation of two vectors, pain and joy. The events have different effects on us, and we experience different energies and feelings. We may already carry fears that are not our personal experience, in the sense that we carry the traumas of our ancestors. Pain makes us run away from painful experiences and numbness to re-experiencing the pain, and the joy that we feel makes us addicted to repeat the joyful experiences, and the crave to intensify the level of pleasure. This way, we categorize communications, experiences, people, and objects as good or bad.

The education

We are not alone in this way of categorizing, and our instinct along with the definitions we get from family and school, sharpens the edges of defining good and bad. The novelty and variety in these educations are so vast, that good and bad in different doctrines overlap each other and what is pleasant gets an outcast face in other parts of the world.

The religion and morality

Indeed, education has one root in religion and the other root on morality, a natural consequence of thousands of years of social life. Religion steps farther than mundane life and sets the frames that tend to navigate human beings through the 4th dimension that is time and even higher dimensions, let’s say worlds. It has a vast view confronting good and bad and won’t see people as isolated particles but a united live process of growth. Though morality could have overlaps with religious practiced disciplines, it has much more in common with instincts that we as humans have, the common feelings and emotions, verily by being free from religious biases this ruler seems simpler, more practical and more universal. Its main problem could be its limitation in responding to many questions and new emerging problems, and its growth through human trial and error, which is also its major drawback.

The life

Does life or the conscious source of the universe work based on good and bad? What is the definition of good or bad from this perspective?

It seems that there is no such sharp distinction between good and bad on the  eye of consciousness, rather a very delicate connection between pain and joy experiences. Life sees both as experience, and the consciousness expands surfing on the edge of the two. In this point of view, how could we describe the extensive pain, sorrow and misery that human beings carry in this era? Could we still benefit from Religion and Morality power facing the complex problems we face nowadays?

In search of a clear answer, better to observe life through pain and joyful eyes! What do they bring us? What would happen if we stay in one of these seemingly contradictory situations? We already know many psychological and physical effects of pain and joy, based on our lived experiences.

Of course, these effects are not free from mind contamination. By each feeling, we experience a flow of energy within us that is neutral on its own, this is where instinct, education, religious and moral instruction comes into play. And the mind navigates through them from one experience to the other. If we were an unwritten page, we would be definitely lost contracting the life dynamics.

Therefore, that would be beneficial to look at the experiences with a bit detachment, by seeing them as merely pure experiences, then by observing the consequences of the permanent settlement in each mode, based on the larger picture we draw with the help of life, and by using past experiences as mere knowledge, will now would be able to respond to each life experience on a vigilant manner, without trying to escape or hold a special experience followed by mind narrations and then feelings.

Good and bad fade in this design. Instead, we’ll focus on the effects of each action on all the components. Here human wisdom, knowledge come to a common ground with teachings. We will ultimately live life in a fresh and dynamic way.
